I went to a concert, by the Syrian singer Sameh Shoquir. It was held to support the Syrian people and to collect donations for them. Syrian youth at the break cheered and yelled. They said, "GOD curse your soul, Bashar!" I loved the day and I have fallen in love with the Syrian accent. [totally it captured,] I was happy when I heard them and remembered our cheers against authority.

totally it captured  - I'm not sure what you mean here...

cheers - I might say "fight against authority" or, if you are talking about things people say at demonstrations, "chants against authority." (الشعب يريد إسقاط النظام = a chant)
