Questions on Translation

"水有悬泉之神，山有鸣沙之异“ sometimes we also say:"悬泉之水，鸣沙之山。"

Here“之”is not a verb, it's just means"的" 。

"有" means“have a kind of …”

and the whole sentence means：“Each kind of thing have there own diffrences. ”

Any suggestions on how to translate this? Can someone explain how to translate the “有” “之” sections? Is there a verb we should be using here?
