بیست درصد مردم ولز به زبان ولزی صحبت می کنند. این یعنی هشتاد درصد به این زبان صحبت ش نمی کنند، و به همین همان دلیل، مترجمان ت حرفه ای هستند که کار ترجمه ی این تابلو ها را انجام می دهند می کنند. در یک مورد صورت، شورای محلی سوانزی به کمک یکی از این مترجمان ت نیاز داشت، و به او این تکلیف را توسط ایمیل داد:
20% of Welsh people speak Welsh. That means 80% don't. For this very reason, there are professional translators who do the work of translating these road signs. In one case, the local council of Swansea required the aid of one of these translators, and gave him the following task by e-mail.

بلا فاصله جوابش به تازگی رسید. تابلو بسرعت به زودی ساخته خلق شد، و سپس کنارجاده  راه گذاشته شد.
Quickly did the response arrive. The sign was soon built, and then placed at the roadside.

فقط یک مشکل وجود داشت هست.
