There is so big a fog this morning, you can only see something for about 10 metres around you, and the car on the road runs slowly, with the caution lights blinking.

[Good.  The pronoun you began the phrase with ("we can only...") must agree with the last pronoun.  You could have also said "we can only see...around us."]
