Hi. If you want to say " what?", you could say "뭐?" or "뭐라고?". I'd say that "뭐라고?" is a more usual expression.

뭐 is a contraction of 무엇, kind of like "what's" is a contraction of "what is"

le premier c'est quand tu dis une expression du genre quoi! (comme en francais quand on prononce notre quoi de façon banale) et le deuxieme mot c'est quand tu poses une question du genre QUOI? en fait c'est comme cela que moi je comprends. si je fais une erreur corrigez moi.
