Giant Kuiva What do you know about Northern Russia? I mean Laplandia which is placed in Murmansk region. Me and my friend Artem made a journey to Seidozero lake which is located in the middle of Lovozero tundra this September. We walked 25 km (15,53 Miles) totally in space of two days. It took us six and half of an hours to get to the lake only where we set our camp. There are no auto roads towards to the lake. You can get to Seidozero by walk only or on boat from another lake through the river which connect them. We carried a lot of luggage including tent and sleeping bags. Our route was intricate and complicated. We passed trough the large boulders more than half of our way. Seidozero is a sacred saam place. There is a figure of dancing giant on the rock near the lake. The aim of our venture was to see it fist-hand. Length of the titan is 74 meters (242 ft). Saam call him Kuiva. He abused, harassed and killed saam people and Shamans burned him according to the old legend. His shadow lost on the rock only. Saams says Seidozero is the place where people have to be polite and in mute otherwise Kuiva may get angry. Nobody know the origin of huge image on the rock but some think its ordinary combination of moss and subsurface rock. I took some photos and videos of legendary titan and whispered - thank you Kuiva!
