My favourite books
My favourite books are those of the Harry Potter saga. There are seven and they were written from 1997 to 2007 by J.K Rowling. The story takes place in London and in other places near it. It deals with a young wizard’s adventures and with a world parallel to ours, where magic exists. I started reading them when I was a child because my cousin had suggested them to me. I’ve read each of them no less than three times, so there probably isn’t anything that I don’t know about Harry Potter’s world. Eight movies were made, too, because the last book needed more time than just one movie could offer. Even if I haven’t watched any Harry Potter’s movies at the cinema, I’ve watched them many times, though I absolutely prefer the books; I think too many scenes and details weren’t shown in the movies. I know that they may be directed toward younger people, but I really love them and even now I sometimes read some pages or watch the movies. I have a younger sister. She’s ten years old. About three weeks ago I thought I could make her read the first of them, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, so now we’re reading it together.
