Halo teman-teman.

<em>"Gue</em>" is really informal. That's ok to use it in daily style speaking/writing. But my suggestion is just be consistent. If you are using gue then use it for the whole statements. It sounds better rather than if you use "gue" and then "aku" and then "gue" again. Choose one, "aku" or "gue".

Then, I'm sure that this is a daily style speaking so I adapted it into daily words too. I changed some formal words into less formal, such as "menemukan" becomes "nemuin", "membantu" becomes "bantu".

So here are some tips for you:
If you are talking to your friends in a relax situation, it is better to use less formal speaking style. If you mix formal and informal speaking style in daily conversation with your Indonesian friends, well it will sound strange, honestly. But usually, Indonesian people will just understand and accept that because you're a "Bule", right.

But, I said this to you only to increase your information about Indonesian :)

AND, if you are talking to teachers/olderly/business partner or other formal situation such as presentation or public speaking, do not use informal words. It will sound less professional :D

Hi, I fixed it based your english text

I know Tetum after googling, haha. It is an original language from Timor Leste.

I also looked up on youtube and found some people speak Tetum, just type "bahasa tetum" on search bar, good luck

Hi Harry, maybe you should find member from Timor Leste because not many Indonesian speak that dialect, unless those people who live near the border or live in West Timor. If you have other choice, I suggest you should take other dialect, such as Javanese, Sundanese, Acehnese, Minang, or Palembang.
