Hi everybody!
I'm Patsy, I live in Chile, I'm twenty years old and I study Law. I write on this website because I need to improve my English level. Well, I think I will tell you about what happened me today. I woke up very sick because I caught a cold and I thought this day would be terrible. Nevertheless, my boyfriend visited me and we ate our favorite food: sushi. It was perfect!

Well, I think I'll tell you about what happened to me today. I woke up very sick because I caught a cold and I thought this day today would be terrible, nevertheless but my boyfriend visited me and we ate (or "had") our favorite food: sushi. It was perfect!

Nevertheless is correct, but not commonly used in informal writing or speech.
