I would not say that there are other things more valuable in an organization besides people. In my opinion, people are the most valuable resource an organization can have because even though technology has advanced drastically, it still can't do all the job everything by itself. People are needed in order to keep a company running and growing. They are the most valuable asset an organization may have has and, therefore, should not be looked at as a machines, but as a humans who can contribute to the company. [you are talking about people, so the remainder of the sentence needs to plural as well]
