Why???

Hello,. Yesterday I was on at a history lecture of History. History is sad study subject for me. The teacher told us about modern World Politics. She said, that there may be wars (in Europe, in Russia) or World War three. I think thought about it for a long time. But I don't understand, why people want of a war? War it is terrible. I don't want of a war. And Do you?
