A RAINSTORM
Hello, guys! I’m Mary. I will tell one thing to you.
On Saturday, the weather was bad. The clouds was were dark and they looked like millions of crows hovering over this area. The day I was feeding my hen that day. Rita, my hen, was eating happily, it then it returned to the roost quickly as soon as it heard the thunder. The thunder sounded like thousands of dinosaurs were shouting! I ran back to my home quickly. I was afraid of the scary weather, so I ran to my room and made pulled the quilt cover over my head. My mother was doing chores when she heard my voice. She knocked on the door, but I didn’t let her come in. I shouted to her, "I’m sorry, mom! But I am so afraid that I don’t want to say anything.”
My father was reading the newspaper. He heard my voice and he step got up to walk to my bedroom door. He said loudly, "When I was a little boy, my father told me that a truly brave man shouldn’t be afraid of anything.”
“But I’m not a man and the thunder is truly scary!” I didn’t know why I was so afraid. I feel that I was being silly that day.
"Don’t be a tortoise!" My mother said as she walked away.
My father was in silent. I was still make under the quilt cover me, but I was not so afraid as right now anymore. I started thinking about my father’s words.
Maybe I shouldn't be too scared. In my future life, there will be more and more rain. If I stop making progress because of fear, I won’t be a great person forever.
Then I opened the door and said, ”Thank you, mom and dad. I’m not afraid of the thunder now!”
They were happy. Me too.
I won’t be afraid for of anything forever, I think. The more storms I go through, the more brave I am become.
Excellent entry! I am glad that you are not so afraid of the rain now. Continue to grow stronger and braver and you will accomplish a lot. :D Keep on learning!
