David: Mein Name ist (/Ich heiße /Ich bin) David.
Chris: Gut. Sind sie aus Boston?
David: Nein._Ich bin aus Berlin. (Now you change from formal to informal.)
Chris: Gut, Mann.
David: Du bist nett.
Chris: Danke. Ihr seid nett.
David: Wir sind aus Berlin.
Chris: Gut. Wir sind aus Boston.
David: Okay. Tschüss._Bis bald.
A few questions:
How come "Sie'' in German means she, they and you_(informal)? How to know the difference of which the person is talking about? Does he means she,_they or you_(informal)?

(sie: she, they)
(sie with singular indicators: she)
(sie with plural indicators: they)
(Sie: you (formal))
(du: you (informal))
(Grammar and circumstances will indicate formal or informal style. But not always unmistakable.)
(Sometimes you have to imagine people using speech balloons with 'Sie' or 'sie' when talking.)
