Internship is very important part of our education at the university, because everybody can try out their theoretical knowledge in real life

I waited very long, this time, because I knew that I could get much more information about my future profession. (This sentence doesn`t seem natural, and it is a bit difficult to understand.)

Today I started my internship. I met some new people, who work there, and they shared their experiences with me. I read legal paragraphs and other important documents. I read these documents (them) before lunch. After lunch I made a list of directors from different organizations with their numbers and emails. After it I called everybody and informed them about an event, which will be very soon. 

Of course, it is only my first day of my internship, but I am really happy that I chose the correct profession!
