Lessons of "Titanic"

The writer saw a little girl wearing a T-shirt with the word "Titanic" written on the front when she was dropping her son off at school, which led to her thinking. At In the beginning, realizing the girl should probably belonged to a class team called "Titanic", she felt puzzled why the students would name their team "Titanic" and expect it to be successful. She concluded some truths of life by analysing the reason as to why  the Titanic sank. In her view, the ship sank due to a combination of many reasons.

To start with, the owner of the ship assumed his ship it (you already just mentioned the ship, so no need to write it again here) was too modern and too solid to sink. This was the first mistake. And then This she led her to the first truth of life: in life,nothing is guaranteed. Life can change in the twinkling of an eye (this seems ok, but we would normally write "in the blink of an eye") and however prepared you are, you might need to cope with the possibility of a sinking ship. Mistake number two was that the ship had more people on board than the lifeboats on the ship could carry. From this mistake, the truth of life is that you should never bite off more than you can chew--like somebody said: "Nobody looks attractive when spitting it back out."

At the last, she made a final conclusion and light the topic: Her final conclusion was that the lessons we can learn from "Titanic" also go for relationships: those overconfident attitudes and lazy tendencies are icebergs waiting to hit and sink your ship. Keep in mind that while confidence is good, but overconfidence always brings drops the ship down in the end.

To be honest, I never think thought we could learn other things any lessons from "Titanic" expect  except for romantic ones. Therefore, when I finished my reading, I thought I had learned a lot from this article: Not only the truth of life she mentioned, but also how to understand things from new and different angles. (or: perspectives)
