I have translated the poem itemized. but the meaning of poem was as you said.

This is barely Persian, let alone by Rumi. The first line though is borrowed from a poem by Abu-Said about Uwais, a very faithful "companion" of Muhammad from Yemen, who is well-known for never getting a chance to actually meet him until his death. The poem is a Sufi idolization of this "love", essentially saying that it did not matter that Uwais was apart from Muhammad in Yemen, and that as long as he was "with" him, they were in fact one.
