Book review for my exam The book review The Notebook, by Nicholas Sparks, is a very touching story about the never ending and true love. The author says that he was inspired by his wife’s grandparents, two wonderful people who spent over 60 years together. The book is about Noah and Allie. They were quite young when they have met each other. This young couple spends one enchanted summer together. However, this amazing time could not last because of social differences, but stayed in their hearts forever. In fourteen years, once again, Noah and Allie are finally reunited. Basically “The Notebook” focuses on their meeting after fourteen years long separation and also the struggle which they encounter at the end of their lives. The main characters of the novel are ordinary people. Noah Calhoun is the son of lumber-man. Allie Nelson is from wealthy family. But that summer has changed their lifes! They had a lot of barriers to love each other, but against all odds, they meet again. Even though Allie came to Noah right before her wedding, they felt in love with each other one more time. She couldn’t choose between Noah and her fiance, Lon, which was a very successful lawyer and could give her simply great future. Despite of her feelings to Noah, Allie left him. But after some time she heard her heart and got back to her love of life. They lived very happily and with lots of love. Noah and Allie had very kind kids and grandchildren. Unfortunately, the destiny played a long down trick with them, and Allie came down with terrible disease – she lost her memory and couldn’t remember her Noah anymore. Even though Noah was sick too, he kept his hopes up. He has been reading to Allie his notebook again and again in order to be together even for some time. Noah and Allie felt in love being teenagers and died with this love in the less of their lives. This book has taught me a lot, for instance, how much you should care about the person you love. Despite of Allies illness, Noah was there for her. I do believe that love like this does exist in real life and I do believe that I will have such an amazing gift of love as well.

A Book Review for My Exam

The Notebook, by Nicholas Sparks, is a very touching story about real and everlasting love. The author says that the characters in it were inspired by his wife’s grandparents, (names?), two wonderful people who spent over 60 years together. The book, however, is about Noah and Allie. They were quite young when they first meet each other. This young couple then spends one enchanted summer together. Unfortunately, that amazing time together could not continue because of their social class differences, but the memory of it stayed in their hearts forever. After the passage of 14 years, though, once again, Noah and Allie are finally reunited. Primarily, The Notebook focuses on their meeting and life together after that long separation, as well as the struggles which they encounter at the end of their lives.

The main characters of the novel are relatively ordinary people. Noah Calhoun is the son of a lumberman, while Allie Nelson is from a wealthy family. But that summer together managed to change their lives! During their later time apart, they had many barriers to overcome in order to love each other again, but against all odds, they manage to meet once more. Even though Allie had come to Noah right before her wedding, they both still felt that they were deeply in love with each other. However, she couldn’t choose between Noah and her fiancé, Lon, who was a very successful lawyer and someone who could provide for her greatly in the future. Despite her intense feelings for Noah, Allie chose to go through with the marriage to Lon, but after some time she listened to her heart and realized that she needed to be back together with the true love of her life. After she had done so, they lived their lives very happily and showed each other lots of affection. Noah and Allie eventually had many children, and later one, many grandchildren as well.

Sadly, in the end, destiny played a final devastating and cruel trick on them. Allie was stricken with a terrible disease--Alzheimer’s--she slowly lost her memory and eventually, she couldn’t even remember who Noah was anymore. Even though Noah was in poor health too, he kept his hopes up. He read to Allie from his notebook, over and over, again and again, as much for himself as for her, in order for them to exist together as they had been, even if only on paper. Noah and Allie fell in love as teenagers and died with this love for each other at the end of their lives.

In conclusion, this book has personally taught me a lot, for instance, how much we should care about the people we love. In spite of Allie’s illness, and whatever the personal hardships and sacrifices it involved to him, as well as dealing with his own ailments, Noah was always there for her. I do honestly believe that love like this does exist in real life, and I do also believe that I, myself, will someday receive such an amazing gift of it as well.

Hi Anna! Good job! Whatever changes that I’ve made were merely done to allow your sentences to sound more natural to my native ears. I hope that this helps you. J.

P.S. I, too, sincerely hope that you will find such a wonderful, selfless, person who loves you in your life as well!
