Motivation letter for a year studying abroad (I) Since I was a kid I wanted to do something special, something beyond what is expected and I have no doubt that going to the greatest country on Earth is the next step in that journey. I consider myself a positive person that tries to make things a bit better every day for people around me and for myself. I would be delighted to pursue than same goal in a totally different culture, a difference that does nothing but enhance my adventurous personality. I am certain I will become a better human being through this experience, and I expect my proficiency in the lingua franca of the world to rise to the next level and give my chances of success in the professional world a boost. However, the human and cultural experience I have ahead cannot be measured in grades or salary. I cannot wait to meet my host family, and being exposed to a new set or worldviews, routines and cultural norms. I would love to experience things that now are only made real by the TV or the internet, like NBA or NFL games. I am looking forward to experience what academic excellence looks like and visit the best universities in the world. In addition, I am thrilled to know more about the places that make the USA the society everyone looks up to. I am an only child and I would truly enjoy the opportunity to experience what having a brother or sister is like. Also, being exposed to a different parenting style can be an amazing learning opportunity. I am an orderly and respectful person, so I am sure we will be living in harmony. Furthermore, the bonds that will be created will be cherished for a lifetime. I am a very athletic person and I love sports, so I am sure I will make the most of the unparalleled sports culture of America.
