Camille
My name comes from the latin word "camillus" meaning "young man". It referred to the young men helping the priests during sacred rituals.
In France, the name "Camille" has been mostly used for boys until the 60s. Since then, it has started to be regarded as a mostly feminine name.
It is one of the three French epicine names, meaning that it keeps its spelling whether it is used for a boy or a girl.
Due to being called Camille as a girl and being in the same class as a Camille boy, I have been made fun of during primary school. Indeed, other kids thought that, since my name is originally a boy's name, I had to be a tomboy and that I had to marry the other. Because of this, I have hated my name until highschool. Now that I am older, I realize how pueril this whole thing was and I am finally satisfied with my name.
Thanks for your time and feel free to review my work ! :)
