مُعلم محترفIf you're learning Spanish, these games are worth playing:
Best for vocabulary
*Stardew Valley / Animal Crossing / Harvest Moon / etc. (A1 high to B1)
These games are all about daily life: farming, decorating, shopping, seasons, tools, food, animals, and talking to people in town. They are great for vocabulary because the same words appear again and again in a very clear context.
*Pokémon (A1 high to B1)
Pokémon is great for learners because the language is usually simple, repetitive, and easy to follow. You learn useful words related to movement, items, places, actions, and instructions.
*Minecraft (A1 to A2)
Minecraft is less focused on dialogue but very useful for concrete vocabulary. It is especially good for learning words related to materials, tools, crafting, directions, and actions.
*The Sims (A2 to B1)
The Sims is excellent for everyday vocabulary: the house, furniture, clothes, emotions, relationships, routines, and daily actions.
Best for dialogue
*Coffee Talk / VA-11 Hall-A (B1 to B2)
These games focus heavily on conversations with customers in a café or bar. They are useful for reading natural dialogue, understanding tone, and seeing how different characters express themselves. Coffee Talk is a bit easier and softer in tone, while VA-11 Hall-A feels more advanced.
*Phoenix Wright (B2+)
This is a great game for students who want to practice reading lots of dialogue and following arguments. It is more text-heavy, but very rewarding if you enjoy story-based games.
*Night in the Woods (B2+)
This game has very natural, character-driven dialogue, but it also uses more nuanced and colloquial language. It is better once you already feel more comfortable reading in Spanish.
