مُعلم محترفYesterday, I tried furikake(ふりかけ) for the first time in a while. For those who don't know, furikake is a Japanese seasoning made with dried seaweed, seafood, sesame seeds and salt. In general, people sprinkle it on top of cooked rice for mixed rice and onigiri (おにぎり). Because of the widespread popularity of Japanese food in South Korea, it's not that difficult to see South Koreans using furikake for their meals as well.
Admittedly, it does kind of look like well-diced fish food flakes, but it's actually better than how it looks 😅. It adds extra saltiness and seafood-like flavor to cooked rice, so it's pretty good when you don't have anything special to eat.
Do you use a seasoning that's similar to furikake in your country?

I think they have something like that in Taiwan too.
