Gray skies hung low today, threatening a downpour. On the way to singing class, Mom and I couldn't resist the aroma of a bakery we passed by. Surely there was no way could we leave empty-handed with that delicious scent swirling around! Later in class, things got exciting. My teacher ushered me onto a real stage, with a microphone stand! I practiced a few songs, surprisingly calm despite the spotlight, even if the auditorium was comfortably empty. Fingers crossed, I may stay this cool and collected on Mother's Day!
