Most people think grammar is the reason they can’t speak English. But after 7,000+ lessons with adult learners, I’ve noticed something else: 👉 𝗕𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗱𝗼 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗿. You 𝚗̲𝚎̲𝚎̲𝚍̲ the basics to build a sentence and express a thought. But once you’ve passed that stage? Grammar is rarely the real problem. 𝑊ℎ𝑎𝑡 ℎ𝑜𝑙𝑑𝑠 𝑝𝑒𝑜𝑝𝑙𝑒 𝑏𝑎𝑐𝑘 𝑖𝑠: – fear of sounding stupid – trying to speak perfectly before they’re ready – not practicing enough in real-life situations I’ve worked with students who could explain every tense... …but completely froze during a simple conversation. And others who made grammar mistakes — but spoke with confidence, clarity, and fluency. The key isn’t to study more. It’s to figure out what you actually need to improve. 𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗿. 𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝘃𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗯𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘆. 𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗻, 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝘀. 💬 What’s the one thing that helped you #speak better English — grammar or something else?
