مدرّس*Luck in Western Countries*
📚📚📚
In Western countries, people also believe in luck. Many think that some objects or actions bring good or bad luck. For example, a four-leaf clover is a symbol of good luck. Some people believe that finding one will bring something good. Horseshoes are also seen as lucky and are sometimes put over doors for protection.
There are also ideas about bad luck. For example, walking under a ladder or breaking a mirror is often thought to bring bad luck. In some cultures, Friday the 13th is a very unlucky day.
However, not everyone believes in luck. Some people think success comes from hard work, not chance. But still, people often say “Good luck!” before an exam or job interview. It shows support and hope for a good result. In daily life, many Western people mix belief in luck with practical thinking and personal effort.
