A few days ago, a very unusual episode struck Brazil's political world, which is well known for its scandals. It turns out that senator Chico Rodrigues, an important figure in president Bolsonaro's government, was caught with over U$ 5,000,00 between his buttocks - and yes, "between the buttocks" is the term which most newspaper here in Brazil have been using. Apparently the senator didn't insert the bills into his anus, but held them in the middle of his buttocks. The episode took place during a police raid at the senator's house, who have been a target for a federal investigation regarding taxpayer money embezzlement. Aside from the money found between the senator's buttocks, the police also found more money and unegistered weapons in the senator's house. As expected, the social media has been swarming with memes and every sort of joke about the episode. I would say that Brazilians are used to seeing news involving dirty money; however, this is the first time we see it in a so literal way.
