In English-Chinese Dictionary, They are meaning：
motorcar 汽车
motor-car 摩拖车

motorcycle 摩托车

"汽车" means "car"
"摩托车" means "motorcycle"

But in Chinese,“汽车" is different to "摩托车".
So, Could it be that motor car = motorcar ≠ motor-car？
