FAR FROM HERE = distance
If one place, thing, or person is far away from another, there is a great distance between them:
e. g. I know a nice little Italian restaurant not far from here.
Both of my sisters moved even farther away from home.
How far it is from here to his house?
The children don't go far from home.
FAR AWAY FROM HERE = a long way away
is used to emphasize a great distance (used to indicate the EXTENT to which one thing is distant from another):
e. g. She wants to move as far away from here as possible.

For me, there's really no difference. But, look here... A similar question has been asked before. ^^
