If you come to America, you should take a bus tour across the country, unless you decide to rent a car for a couple weeks. You would want to see some natural wonders, such as our Grand Canyon in Northern Arizona, the red cliffs of Sedona, Arizona, visit the southern California beaches and on up the coast to Monterey Bay, California, see the charm of Savannah, Georgia and take a tour of New York City.

Hey there Adam. I don´t know if South America is amongst your possible targets, but I´m from Colombia, and although I guess you have heard a lot of scary things about my country (some of them are true, of course), we have a lot of astonishing places here you should take a look at. You just have to be careful and prepare your trip through an agency or something, so that you are not just strolling around all by yourself. There is a region here named Boyaca (it´s a "departament", what you guys would call a "state"), and there are a lot of beautiful small villages with nice and peaceful hotels and unbelievable typical food. Specially I would recommend a village called "Villa de Leyva" (you should google it). It´s beautiful and there´s a lot of history in there. Lots of museums and even the streets around the main square are cobbled with fossiles, how cool is that!!. It´s quite easy to get there actually, it´s like a 2 and a half drive away from Bogotá.
