你好每个人,
I would like to know how to start a formal or business letter in Chinese ?
Do you use these ways and what are the translations:
1. Dear Sir or Madam = ?
2. Dear friend = ?
3. Dear Mister x = ?
Dear Madam y
Is there a Chinese way?

Hi,
“hello, everyone!“ in Chinese would be 各位好or大家好
Dear Sir or Madam—尊敬的先生/女士;
Dear friend—亲爱的朋友;
Dear Mr. X/ Madam X—尊敬的X先生/女士;
I usually start a formal letter with “X先生/ X女士/ X小姐,您好/你好!” , you could say 您好! or 你好! directly .
PS: bye-bye is 再见 :)

你好每个人(in Chinese, we say "各位,你们好"),
Starting a formal or business letter in Chinese with proper titles, e.g. 女士 for female, 男士 for male.
1. Dear Sir or Madam =尊敬的先生/女士
2. Dear friend = 亲爱的朋友
3. Dear Mister x = 尊敬的先生
Dear Madam y=尊敬的女士
谢谢 和 在见 ( we say "谢谢,再见" in Chinese)
Moreover, I would like to remind u that in Chinese, “女士” is used for both married or unmarried female)
Have a nice day~

In a business letter, you can write as following,
尊敬的XXX女士:('女士' can used for a lady who is married or not married.)
尊敬的XXX先生:
In a formal letter to your friend, you can write as following,
亲爱的XXX:

Thank you for your time and consideration.
All your answers were the best, it was not easy to select one.
