Hi Winnie,
Endless and infinite can mean the same thing; however, it isn't always used in the same way. For instance:
1. The universe seems endless/infinite. (both would be accurate)
2. The conversation seemed endless. (this would be a more accurate description of a conversation that had gone on too long.)
3. He had endless excuses for why he could not show up for work on time.
4. There are an infinite number of stars in the sky.

Adding just a little to what Amy said.
infinite is close in meaning to uncountable.
endless means without end.
.
As with her examples, "an infinite number of ..." is almost the same as endless for something countable.
...............
The infinite universe, the endless universe.
The school day seems endless. (Can't easily use infinite here)..........
There are an infinite number of numbers between 0 & 1. - difficult to say with "endless", an endless set of numbers? ............
