What is the difference between "carretera" and "ruta"? Una Carretera means a road (Highway), and una ruta means a road (A way, a path), right? And how can I say "Work as a volunteer"? "hacer de voluntario"?

Yes you are correct about the meanings of both words. I would like to work as a volunteer" > Podría trabajar como un voluntario?

hahaha Yeah! Being honest, I also think "kogoro" it's a good name for an animal :D and indeed, it does sound similar to kangaroo hahaha "Voluntariado" can be used to refer to a group of volunteers, eg: "Estoy pensando en participar del voluntariado en mi ciudad el próximo año"/"I am thinking on participating on my city's volunteer group this year"; "Voluntariado" can also be used to refer to the volunteer work and the actions that involves being a volunteer eg: "Voy a hacer un voluntariado en España ¿Cuándo? tan pronto como sea posible"/"I'm going to volunteer in Spain, When? As soon as possible" or you can say something like "Voy a trabajar como voluntario allí"/"I'm going to work as a volunteer there" :) I hope that makes sense! hahah

Could I ask your help in something, would you put "hacer voluntariado" in a sentence, please, so I can get it? :)
