Could you tell me the differences between "girlish" and "girly" ? Could you also tell me why there is a word "boyish" but there seems to be no word "boyly"? Right?

Girlish is characteristics of girls. Means being immature. Girly means very feminine.

Hello... here is the definitions...I think it's clear somehow Girlish: behaving like a girl, looking like a girl, or suitable for a girl Girly (adj) = girlie : 1. british english: a girl or woman who is girlie behaves in a silly way, for example by pretending to be shy or always thinking about how she looks 2. British English spoken: suitable only for girls rather than men or boys Girlie (noun) : an offensive word used by men when talking to a woman who they think is less sensible or intelligent than a man
