when you say like/hate/love...+verb+ing, and when you use like...+to+infinitive. what's the difference: i like swimming - i like to swim. i like going to the park in the morning - i like to go to the park in the morning. etc is there any difference at all, when it is preferable to use this or that way to express the idea. and will you do me a favour and give more examples when you say like/hate/love...+verb+ing, and when you use like...+to+infinitive. hope to hear the answers from native speakers many thanksthanks for answering Nicholas. however i'm still a bit puzzeled. you see when i read russian books for studying english they teach to use like + to+infinitive, but english books insist on using gerund. so how is it more natural to speak

In these cases (love/hate/like/etc), there is no real difference in meaning between using the gerund or infinitive. Here are some other verbs that function similarly: http://www.englishpage.com/gerunds/gerund_or_infinitive_same_list.htm
