Yes. Will and would. Take some time to learn the difference.

"It will be great" - in the future.
1) "it" is going to be great. "It" is definately great.
2)"It" is definately going to happen.
-certain, confirmed
"It would be great" - in the future.
1) "it" might be great, but might not.
2)"It" could happen, but is not certain.
-uncertain, unconfirmed

Yes, 'it will be great' is stating that you are completely sure it will be great. While 'it would be great' is what you use when something is keeping it from being good. This is usually followed by an interjection. So for example...
"There's a party tonight at my house. It will be great!"
"The cookies would be great, but you forgot that one ingrediant.
