Why is used ( has ) instead of ( have )
I have this phrase, that I practicing use of ( has ) and ( have ). Why is used ( has ) in the phrase below, instead of the use ( have ) ?
My father has just arrived

The third person (he she it) of the verb 'have' is 'has'
I have
You have
He has
٢ سبتمبر ٢٠١٤
and plural is 'have.' e.g.
my friends have arrived
٢ سبتمبر ٢٠١٤
