What do you call the medicine the doctors inject to your body and it makes you feel nothing?
I am going to the hospital and the doctor might inject the medicine to my body to make me feel nothing. It is usually use before you extract your wisdom teeth or have the operation. What do you call it?

Anesthesia is the state consisting of unconsciousness, loss of memory, lack of pain, and muscle relaxation.
The drugs used to induce anesthesia are called "anesthetic drugs" or simply "anesthetics."
Propofol (the drug that killed Michael Jackson) is one of the most common anesthetic drug used in general anesthesia.

Anesthesia can be used two ways. You can have a local anesthetic that numbs the area being worked on, (such as when the dentist fills a tooth), or you can have general anesthesia which knocks you completely out. You wake up feeling very groggy and confused. I think you are referring to general anesthesia. Good luck with your procedure.
