Can I say "The seasons have blurred the distinctions"? I want to describe a place which is featured by a blurring of seasons i.e. doesn't have a distinctive division between seasons. It may be a place where it is spring all the year round. Is it correct to write: 1. The seasons there have been blurred. 2. The distinctions between seasons have been really blurry. 3. The seasons have blurred the distinctions. (I think this is wrong, because it is not the seasons which blurred the distinctions, but the seasons have been blurred...) 4. The place is featured by a blurring of seasons. Please tell me which is appropriate. Or what would you say to describe it? Thank you so much! Kailin

The most clear way to write this would be to simply use a negative sentence. "This place has no distinct seasons" If you want to be more poetic or descriptive, I might suggest "The differences between the seasons are hard to discern in this place" I hope this helps :)

Thank you Nathan! It is a very good option! Now I know how to use "blur" here.

Certainly's suggestion is good, and you could also say "the seasons there blur together"
