Hey,
1. The "left" or "left-winged" in this context has to do with political ideologies or political affiliation--"left" is liberal (Democrat) and "right" is conservative (Republican). In this first example the author is saying that although Clinton celebrates free markets in her book, she says something different when in front of a different (more liberal--"left-wing") audience.
2. The first, "on the right fret," is as stated above--Clinton's conservative critics ("on the right") worry or fear ("fret") she is a....so on. "Divorced from the lives of" means she is "disconnected from" or doesn't understand the lives of normal Americans.
3. "Pin down" does not mean ignore, but "to identify" or "to determine."
Best!
