What does "be meant to" mean?
At 0:24 in this Facebook video (https://www.facebook.com/attn/videos/8970863003...), the man quotes someone's comment "you're meant to be a role model?"
I looked up in some online dictionaries, and the definition of "be meant to" is "be supposed to" or "be destined to".
I think the comment means "do you want to be a role model?"
So, should the subtitle be "you 'meant to' be a role model?"The link is https://www.facebook.com/attn/videos/897086300326830/

It doesn't mean 'do you want to be a role model'.
In this context, it's being used as a sarcastic profanity.
The way it's read, is extremely questioning and sarcastic. By saying "you're meant to be a role model?", the author is sarcastically remarking that he should NOT in fact be a role model, and that he is very much contrary to that. However, it is implied that people in general look up to him as a role model.
