Have conversations. If you have conversations on a regular basis, you will learn the necessary English vocabulary. In any language, the spoken language is relatively small. There are key verbs, adjectives, adverbs, and prepositions. As long as you have these things memorized, can conjugate verbs, and have a basic understanding of grammar, then you'll be able to understand at least 70% of what someone is saying to you in a conversation. The language will become intuitive for you because you'll be so used to speaking it. This will make it much easier to hear the language and learn new words.
