Deep down and deep inside means the same for most cases , like deep down or deep inside my heart I know he doesnt love me. But deep down is stronger because it meant the bottom of something rather than just inside, which could be anywhere in the thing you are refering too. Deep inside , I can still trust you, but deep down , I am not sure.
