difference between "armed" and "equipped"
In the sentence, "I guess working in this industry, one needs a thick skin and a strong heart, which I have not been armed/equipped with."
Between "armed" and "equipped", would you prefer one to the other? Or both are okay?
I would appreciate your further explanations.
Many thanks!

"Armed" technically refers to "arms", that is weapons and ammunition (e.g. guns).
"Equipped" can refer to any useful tool.
I think that "armed" would work better in this sentence. However, either would make sense. Just keep in mind that "armed" tends to have more aggressive connotations due to its original meaning.

If you have just these two options‚ I prefer to use equipped because it doesn't indicate to anything specific.therefore‚ I haven't seen the word"armed" in a sentence like this when you use "armed" It must be related to weapons or dangerous tools
