Difference?
Shalom. Is there a difference between Biblical and Modern Hebrew? Your answer is most appreciated.

Hi Esteban,
There are many differences between Biblical and Modern Hebrew.
Biblical Hebrew is old and not used daily, however, Modern Hebrew contains slang and words from other languages such as: Arabic, English, German etc.
For example:
In order to say say "Shalom" in Biblical Hebrew you will say: "שלום עליכם" - Shlom Aleychem" and in Modern Hebrew you will just say - שלום or Hi.

Yes, both in vocabulary and grammar, though the morphology is practically the same. Add to that that the grammar throughout the Bible itself keeps changing, because it was written throughout many years.
The closest part of the Bible to Modern Hebrew is the book of Genesis.
