IELTS paraphrase introduction : expenditure on ? of ? Question: The graph shows the amount of money spend on books in Germany, France, Italy and Austria between 1995 and 2005. My paraphrase: The line graph illustrates the expenditure on ( or of ?) books in four European countries from 1995 to 2005. Is my paraphrase correct? Could you tell me how to use 'expenditure' ? I'm in America and we say expenditure FOR books. So, I would say, "The line graph illustrates the expenditure for books in four European countries from 1995 to 2005."
