How is Cantonese typed?
I'm very curious about this because I've been wanting to communicate with Cantonese people for awhile and I can't figure out the input method on my tablet. (I can use pinyin, but I know people in Hong Kong don't use it) can someone please help me out? Thanks!
My hongkong friend uses a radical input system, where you put in the first couple strokes of a character (like wubi). I think there are also Cantonese phonetic input systems

I am from hk and I use pinyin to type chinese too, it works for me, i just change the setting so it inputs traditional chinese words not simplified ones. But every method works as long as you can type chinese with it lol

If you are using an Android device, try downloading the Google Keyboard for Cantonese but you need to know how to read and type the words in tonal Cantonese or if you need help, PM me!

I use the traditional keyboard on my iphone/ipad, you start drawing the character and a selection pops up, like predictive text - but you have to be OK at drawing characters!

I am from Hong Kong. We mainly use 速成(Sucheng) to input Chinese on the computer. It is a stroke based keyboard input method. On tablet, I recommend you to use Google Cantonese Input. You may choose Cantonese pinyin / stroke / handwrite to input.
