Policy:
a set of ideas or a plan of what to do in particular situations that has been agreed to officially by a group of people, a business organization, a government, or a political party:
“They believe that Europe needs a common foreign and security policy.”
“What is your party's policy on immigration?”
Politics:
the activities of the government, members of law-making organizations, or people who try to influence the way a country is governed:
“Joe is very active in left-wing politics.”

i think Policy is a set of procedures towards certain situations
politics is always attached to government and its relation with other socities
