1.A picture can be a painting, or a beautiful scenery. You may say: "What a beautiful picture.", when looking at nature. 2.An image is something you usually look at on your computer/TV/ mobile screen. A .jpeg on your PC is an image; An image can also be the way a person looks, the way he's dressed: "He's got such a stylish image." 3.A photo is something you take with your phone's camera or an ordinary camera, where they're usually printed out: "Look at this photo I took from our trip." Hope this explained it for you, do note, however, that they can have more meanings, but these are the most common ones. :)

A "picture" is any kind of representation that is supposed to look like something real, as opposed to a "pattern" or a "design." An artist "paints a picture." You look at the picture, and you say "that is a horse." It might be a very realistic and precise picture, so you can tell the breed of the horse and see the hairs on the mane. It might be a stylized picture, just like an icon or a symbol. But you say "that is a horse." "Picture" is an ordinary, everyday word. A "photograph" was an image produced by a camera, on film. A photograph is a kind of picture. A photograph is always a very exact, precise, literal copy of what the camera sees. "Photograph" and "photo" are ordinary, everyday words. Nowadays we often use the word "photograph" for "a picture made with a digital camera" even though film is no longer used. An "image" means a picture, with an emphasis on exactness and precision. In physics, optics, and in the digital era it has come to mean an exact optical copy made by a lens, or a computer file that encodes such an image. "Image" is a somewhat technical word. The lens of a camera also makes an image. It is not a photograph because it is not permanent. It is there only while the camera keeps pointing at a subject. A photograph is an image that has been made permanent. Therefore: when a camera takes a picture, the lens forms an image. If there is film in the camera, the image exposes the film. When the film is processed and printed, you have a photograph. I might say "I have a picture of my grandson in my wallet." (Excuse me, I'm not sure about Muslim culture; in Western culture it's considered perfectly acceptable to have pictures of people). I might also say "I have a photo of my grandson in my wallet." I would never say "I have an image of my grandson in my wallet."

Hi, -- a Photo is a Picture taken with a photographic machine -- a Picture is an Image which is represented on any material support (eg a drawing, a painting) -- an Image is any visual representation of the world created by the sense organs and the brain The way animals create their images can depend on the sense organ: humans use eyes, blind humans use anything else, bats and dolphins have eyes but also use a kind of radar or sonar. Some animals(including insects) also don't see the colors as we do -- if you have ever seen Predator.

The difference between image, picture, and photo is not very clear, and sometimes these words can be used interchangeably. However, there are some subtle distinctions that you can keep in mind. Here is a summary of the main differences: An image is any visual representation of something, either real or imaginary. It can be created by a computer, a camera, a scanner, or any other device. It can also be an idea or a concept that you have in your mind. For example, you can have an image of a unicorn, even though it does not exist in reality. A photo or a photograph is a specific type of image that is captured by a camera or a photocopier. It shows how something looked at a certain moment in time. For example, you can take a photo of your family on vacation, or scan a photo of your grandparents from an old album. A picture is a general term that can refer to any image, photo, or photograph. However, it can also mean a drawing, painting, or artwork that is created by hand or by a computer. For example, you can draw a picture of your pet, or paint a picture of a landscape. To illustrate these differences, you can look at the image below: This is an image of three different types of visual representations: an image, a photo, and a picture. The image on the left is a computer-generated image of a flower. The photo in the middle is a photograph of a real flower taken by a camera. The picture on the right is a drawing of a flower made by hand. A⚕P reminds me, I should probably add: "image" is a very rich word with a large number of meanings, some very different from "picture" or "photograph." You should consult a dictionary and read over the list of meanings. For example, look at https://ahdictionary.com/word/search.html?q=image A solid object, like a sculpture or statue, can be called an "image," whereas "pictures" and "photograph" are always flat and two-dimensional.
