If I want to express some ownership, the owner is charles. For example, Charles' office.

Hello Ryan,
I am happy to help you with this question.
Writing "Charles' " is correct. The name "Charles" ends with an S, so you don't need to add an apostrophe and an S, just an apostrophe.
You should pronounce it like: Char-l-z-is
Hope this helps! Please get in touch if hiud like more help with your English, I'd love to help you!
Best wishes,

As far as the spelling, there's actually some debate about that. A lot of modern style guides say that you should write it "Charles's".

The pronunciation is like Charleses.
