Hi Niwantha,
We use a ditto mark to avoid writing repeated words or phrases.
Let's look at an example:
Ingredients needed for making a dish
1) One cup of flour
2) One cup of oil
3) Two tablespoons of brown sugar
4) Two tablespoons of rock salt
As "One cup" is repeated in item (2) and "Two tablespoons" is repeated in item 4, we can use ditto marks (essential two apostrophes (")) to refer to the aforementioned word or phrase:
Ingredients needed for making a dish
1) One cup of flour
2) " " of oil
3) Two tablespoons of brown sugar
4) " " of rock salt
Do note that ditto marks refer to something above them. The original word or phrase should be mentioned first before ditto marks are used.

1) " " of flour
2) One cup of oil
3) " " of brown sugar
4) Two tablespoons of rock salt
does not make sense.
We can also use "ditto" in speech to show that we concur with something previously mentioned.
Tom: The result is unexpected.
Jude: Ditto!
Just as a side remark, "ditto" is also a verb to refer to duplicating something or repeating an action.

As Ron said, it means that you agree with what was just said. The word comes from an Italian dialect, and means literally "said." If you have further questions, you can message me.

It means "i agree with what he said" or "i feel the same way"
Joe: " I want some pizza."
Bob: "ditto!"
