Can I use both ... as well as? Me and my colleague translated two similar texts from Czech into English. We have two different opinions on the following: 1) František Pospíšil (1885–1958), a noted ethnologist from Brno, was one of the scholars whose research aims and interpretations of the topics which he studied were determined both by his individual interests as well as by social context. 2) The paper demonstrates how the research direction and the interpretation of researched topics can be determined by both individual interests and social context.
